Welcome to Cobham Bowling Club (Surrey)!
We are a friendly club, playing lawn bowls in the summer and short mat indoors in the winter. We take part in leagues as well as internal competitions, but also provide the opportunity to play informally with other team members during the week. There are social events throughout the year. Why not drop in? You can try your hand at bowls, or maybe refresh your skills. We welcome new members to join us whether they are first time bowlers or have experience. Think about coming down as a family, we are happy to introduce young players to the sport. Check out our 'Contact Form' page to get in touch.
There is parking available outside the clubhouse but you must display a parking permit. If you are a visitor we can provide a temporary pass that is valid for the duration of your visit. As a member you will receive a parking permit.

Outdoor bowls:
We are excited to say that outdoor bowls is now available until September 2024! Would you like to join us? Get in touch by giving us a call, or contacting us through our website or pop in if you see us on the Green. We'd be happy to see you. We welcome new Members.
Play outdoors on our fabulous green from the end of April through to the end of September. Members can play on the green at any time provided that it is not booked for a match, if it is not in use for a roll up, or the groundsmen are not tending to it.
Practice sessions/roll-ups are Tuesday & Friday roll-ups 9.45am or Monday at 2pm. Coaching is available.
Wednesday evenings are club evenings for our members, a great opportunity to play in the warm summers evenings, often followed by supper and a drink from the bar.
Mixed Fixtures throughout the summer, as well as Club internal matches and Events.
League matches - Thursday afternoon Mixed Triples & Surrey Advertiser for the Ladies.
Our history:
Founded in 1932 and originally men only. Ladies started to bowl here in 1935 and we are pleased to report that they have done so ever since!
The Club originally had use of a groundsman hut which has long since been demolished. The adjacent park provided the Clubs next facility, which still stands today in the park next door - a brick pavilion. More photos can be seen on our FaceBook page.

Indoor bowls:
We have now closed our doors for short mat bowls until September 2024. We are now outside on the Green!
We have two mats available for indoor bowls from the end of September through to April. Members can play on the mats at any time, provided these have not been booked for matches or the Clubhouse is being used for a social event.
Practice sessions/roll ups are available on Tuesday and Friday mornings, and Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
We also have the ability to provide coaching on a Wednesday morning.
We have monthly social events too...
Our indoor seasons entertainment includes Shuffleboard & Supper, our ever popular Presentation & Christmas Dinner Evening and Burns Night amongst others.
