Welcome to Cobham Bowling Club (Surrey)!
We are a friendly club that welcomes new members, both complete novices and experienced players. We are open 52 weeks a year, and whether you have played bowls before or not, we offer free training and, of course, we have members who will help and guide you. Come and meet new people, learn a new skill whilst getting some gentle exercise!
We are open for ‘roll ups’ where you can just turn up and play on Monday afternoon, Tuesday & Friday mornings. On Wednesday afternoon we offer training for new bowlers which starts on the 6th May through to the end of June. From July onwards, tuition will be offered to new bowlers who join us later in the season.
We have a Club Night on a Wednesday evening where we have a roll up, or fun bowl activities and sometimes a social event - the 'new bowler' tuition will be offered alongside our Wednesday evening activities.
We offer free use of club bowls, all you will need is flat soled shoes.
From April to September, we play lawn bowling outside on our professionally managed Green. In the winter, from October to April we play short mat bowling on two special mats in the Clubhouse.
There are multiple chances to play both formally and informally, there are matches against other Clubs, internal competitions and League matches as well as informal games between members.
We have regular social events which include Summer BBQs, Quiz Night, Race Night, Shuffleboard, Themed evenings, Bingo, Christmas Party and the annual Presidents Day. The events often include a meal, and of course the Members bar is popular!
There is parking outside available for Club Members and visitors with a parking permit available from the club. You can find us at the end of Lushington Drive, next to the Recreation Ground, adjacent to the tennis courts.
